CPD For Teachers and Schools

New technology provides us with opportunities to participate in new kinds of learning, social, community and work activities. While many young people as ‘digital natives’ feel confident about using technology, this doesn’t always translate into competence. This is particularly apparent in relation to ‘higher level’ critical thinking skills, e.g. awareness of bias in the media or commercialisation. It is important that teachers and parents support young people to make informed decisions about how and why they participate digitally. Digital literacy can affect equality of access to information and services, employment, social inclusion and further learning opportunities. In turn, this can affect wider business productivity.

We want to help young people and teaching staff feel confident and capable and make sure that everyone can ‘Speak Digital’. It’s fun and easy to learn… and there are lots of ways in..
