Film Making
Create a Short Film (2 days)
Our behind the scenes film making workshop offers a detailed introduction to each stage involved in making a film. You will create a storyboard, produce original footage and edit your footage using industry standard software. Once completed you will have directed and produced a short film to take away with you in addition to gaining an in depth understanding of film ready to use as a teaching tool.
Photography
Getting the most out of your digital camera (2 hours)
Photography has become an accessible form of communication that we utilise daily through digital cameras, mobile phones and web cams. The instantness of an image is a powerful tool and our two hour session we want to teach you how to get the most out of the equipment that you are using.
Advanced Photography
This one day long session is perfect for those wishing to hone their photographic skills and step it up! The day includes planning, running a professional shoot and post-production. During the shoot you’ll learn how to use lighting and the day will finish with editing your images using Photoshop.
Animation
Creating a Stop Frame Animation (3 hours)
Stop frame animation can be fantastic- and is easy to learn. In this workshop you’ll learn how to bring inanimate objects to life and, in turn, your lessons!
Podcasting Workshops
Audio Podcast Workshop (3 Hours)
Video Podcast Workshop (1 Day)
Learn what podcasts are, how to create one and how to bring them into your lessons. During these one-day workshops your team of teachers will learn how to record and publish a podcast in as little as in 5 minutes. Podcasts are perfect for revision tools for lessons- we can show you how to set up your own page and ensure your class log on as homework!
Blogging
What is a Blog? (2 hours)
Several new blogs are created every second! This tool is not to be missed! Learn how to create a blog for your class – they are very simple to set up and you can even set homework assignments that utilise this tool as an authentic way to encourage all students to participate even those who may not be the most vocal in class.
In this new digital world- kids are the experts, they are the digital natives and it is imperative that teachers, educators and parents learn to keep up!
