“Our task is to harness every opportunity we can find for delivering creative learning through technology; to address those many longer-term challenges we as a global and digital society now face, whilst offering all our young people a decent chance to lead happy, fulfilling and rewarding lives.”
- Lord David Puttnam
We know that often teachers are worried about their pupil’s digital skills. Whilst ‘digital natives’ may have almost limitless access to a digital world they don’t fully understand how to use it. Digital judgement can be severely skewed and young people can be too trusting of, for example, top hits on Google. In addition we know that sometimes teachers can lack digital confidence and are overwhelmed that young people appear more tech-savvy than themselves. Suklaa partners with schools to help them work together to build their own digital strategy. Young people and teachers can collaborate to share their digital skills and understanding creating a common language that fits their school.
